Why The Last Of Us Was An Awful Story
With anticipation for The Last of Us getting its own HBO adaptation, I felt like writing about why the game doesn't deserve this and that even before its much maligned sequel, it's writing was always terrible. I will praise the game’s opening. It’s a legitimately horrifying sequence showing the start of the zombie apocalypse that avoids turning into the kind of power fantasy we often see it depicted as in video games. But the game’s attempts at realism sadly end up holding it back once the main story kicks off. Then we have the game’s story. It’s a dull slog with our main characters Joel and Ellie walking across the wilderness to the revolutionary group the Fireflies. The game’s post apocalyptic setting isn’t interesting like in say, Fallout, Fist of the North Star, or Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Its stand out trait to set it apart from other post apocalyptic settings is that it’s a giant cesspool of pain and suffering in the name of realism. So you don’t get to meet any

Invisible Man 2020 (Review)
After a slew of bad horror films, The Invisible Man is probably one of the best out of the bunch. Elisabeth Moss portrays Cecilia, a woman who escapes her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Adrian Griffin. A week or so later, Adrian apparently committed suicide, but something feels wrong with it. Despite being free of her abusive ex, Cecilia still felt trapped, and when odd occurrences began to happen around her that threaten her life, Cecilia becomes increasingly convinced that her boyfriend isn’t dead.
Elisabeth Moss does an outstanding job in her role as Cecilia. She is a troubled young woman who’s trying to recover from an ab

Rise of Skywalker Review
Twice before I went to the theaters to see the entries in the new Star Wars trilogy with low expectations, and twice before my expectations were exceeded. Sadly, this time the movie met my low expectations for it. It is not, despite what some people are saying, the worst Star Wars movie. It is however, an unsatisfying end to the sequels and to the Skywalker Saga and the new trilogy.
To start with issues on what this isn't a satisfying ending, we have to look back at Force Awakens. Or more accurately, the supplemental materials we have to read in order to understand what was going in the galaxy. We were told that the First Order's rise occurr

Top Ten Best/Worst Hit Songs of 2019
I'm happy for this transitioning period. The past decade has been terrible, from the very beginning with the economic recession, to the widespread chaos happening now. I'm just so over all of it and I want to go back to happy times. Fortunately, I think we'll be getting there music-wise sooner than I originally thought. Looking down the Year-End list for this year, I want to be clear, there wasn't enough good to balance out the bad or even the mediocrity that we've been supersaturated with for some time. However, the fact that we're starting to focus more on melody and catchiness again shows a lot of promise for the coming years. I really hop

MLP FiM Season 9 review
The dust has settled and the fallout of the series finale of Friendship is Magic has passed on. I said it before and I'll say it again, this series has been quite the ride. What started out as just another generation of MLP, FiM managed to take the world by storm with how it just captured lightning in a bottle. The characters, stories, songs, and the world of Equestria are now not only well known, but beloved. For nine years, this show had a very impressive run; especially considering this was a cartoon as well. You don't really see a lot of cartoons go on that long as they seem to end after four to five seasons.
When season nine was announc
